When Ogyen Trinley Dorje was five years old, his love and confidence in Buddhism arose spontaneously. When he was six years old, he took refuge and began to study “Sūtra of the Heroic March” by Yong Xing Master Monk in Mahayana Lineage. At the age of ten, he received the tantric precepts in front of His Holiness Padma Norbu Rinpoche and began to study Ngondro of Longchen Nyingtik. In 2000, he received the Longchen Nyingtik Dakini Laughter Chöd and Yogi precepts in front of His Holiness Yangthang Rinpoche. Since then, Ogyen Trinley Dorje has been serving a lot of Lama Rinpoches in different centers and translating several Sadhanas and books from Tibetan to Chinese.

In 2018, Ogyen Trinley Dorje began on duty in Awam Ogmin Ling Yoga Center (H.K) Since then, he has made up his mind sincerely to follow his Root Master, His Holiness Khenchen Lama Rinpoche to continue to study the old translation of the Nyingma Dzogchen teachings and to promote the teachings of the Padma DragNgag Lingpa’s Terma Lineage.

In 2023, Ogyen Trinley Dorje is recognised by his Root Master, His Holiness Khenchen Lama Rinpoche as Lopon Rinpoche and had received the precious Lineage hat, an Official Letter and meditation belt. In the same year, Ogyen Trinley Dorje established the “Hong Kong Awam Pelgyeypa Vajrayana Institute”, which is committed to the development of the cause of benefiting students and leading the public to Buddhism.

Ogyen Trinley Dorje’s lifelong wish is to follow the grand dharma activities of his Root Master, His Holiness Khenchen Lama Rinpoche, to help the public remove obstacles and ignorance, to practice as a yogi and to try his best to complete the merits of benevolence and wisdom, and thus achieve Buddhahood.
